What"s going on nation? I"m gonna demonstrate for you guys how to do a seated barbell shoulder press.  This is a really great exercise for building upper-body strength and the main muscles you are going to target when doing this exercise.  Are going to be your shoulders with more emphasis on your anterior deltoids.  Which is the front deltoid and you"re also going to be targeting your triceps as well.  your triceps are responsible for the extension of the arm.  so it"ll definitely fatigue as you"re pressing the weight over your head now one thing.  I want you to pay specific attention to in this video.  Is that I"m using a full range of motion with the exercise.  I"m Bringing the barbell all the way down to the top of my chest and then pressing it fully over my head with a full extension.  Of the arms you want to be as strong as possible you need to train in full range of motion.  Begin the exercise by sitting in a chair with your feet on the pegs and your lower back and shoulders against the Pad.  Grab the barbell just outside of shoulder width and hold it as tight as you can.  While keeping your core tight and lower back against the Pad lift the barbell and hold it over your head.  Once in place begin to lower the barbell down to the top of your chest.  make sure your wrists are straight and that your elbows are angled slightly forward to be in line with your wrists as.  Soon as the barbell touches your chest begin to press it back up and over your head.  Depending on your core strength your back may begin to arch during the movement a slight arch is okay.  But if it becomes, too, drastic you will need to lower your weight.  be sure to stay in control during each rep and if you feel like you"re slightly off balance as you press the weight over your.  head push into the pegs harder with your feet for more stability.
